Product type is one of the main mandatory characteristics in the product description. It depends on it:
- how the PDPs will be categorized on the site;
- in which positions the product will be in the Ozon search: if the type is specified incorrectly, it will be lower in the queries by product type;
- whether customers will be able to find the PDP using filters or not.
We advise you to choose a type that will be similar to the product name. If the product type you specified doesn’t match the real one, Ozon may block the PDPs.

When uploading to the Ozon website, specify the product type in one of the ways:

In your personal account, select Products and prices → Add Products → Manually and in the Characteristics block, fill in the Type field.

Via Excel template: click Products and prices → Add Products → Via template, download the required template, and fill in the data.
