Points for discounts

To attract more customers to your store or brand, Ozon can set additional discounts for your products on your behalf. Customers can also get a discount if they pay for an order with an Ozon Card. This discount is also set by the marketplace.

If the product sells at a lower price due to a promotion, the discount is set at your expense. You’ll regain the difference between your price and the actual sale price in points. These points will be used towards your commission fee payment.

View the amount of your points #

To see a list of products at discounted prices that will be compensated in points, go to the Products & Prices → Product Prices section. For such products, the price that your customers see is lower than Your price. In the Sales Report section, the Points for discounts column, you can view how many points you received from the products sold with such a discount. Final calculations are displayed at the bottom of the report.

At the end of the period, you’ll see the final amount of points in the closing documents.

How points affect your earnings #

The only thing that changes is the mechanics of settlements between Ozon and you. Your earnings are not affected. You get the amount of difference between your price and the sale price in points, not in monetary terms. 1 point = 1 unit of the contract currency.

Points will cover up to 99% of the total cost of your commission fees in the current month.

If you get more points than you spend money, Ozon will transfer you the remaining sum, display the payment as a bonus, and issue a statement for it. Payments are made in the currency of your contract. You don’t need to pay VAT on the statement on bonuses.

If you don’t have enough points, Ozon deducts the remaining cost from your earnings as usual. This event is displayed in the completion report in the Reward for overspending points.

Calculation example in rubles:

  • You sell products worth 1,000,000 rubles in a month.
  • The sales commission fee amounts to 100,000 rubles.
  • The discounts that Ozon has set for customers at your expense amounts to 3000 rubles.

In this case, Ozon accrues you:

  • Before October 1, 2023: 3000 rubles to your account in monetary terms in the currency of your agreement. You earn 1,000,000 rubles, of which Ozon withdraws 100,000 rubles for selling products by category. In total, you receive 900,000 rubles.

  • From October 1, 2023: 3000 points. You earn 997,000 rubles, of which Ozon withdraws 3,000 points as the commission fee account first, and the remaining 97,000 rubles second. In total, you receive 900,000 rubles.

If the customers returns the product bought with a discount #

Ozon accrues points once the customer places an order, or the order gets the Delivered status.

If the customer returns the product, Ozon withdraws the already accrued points. If the product is bought in September and returned in October, Ozon reduces the number of points by the discount amount that was accrued at the time of sale. 1 point = 1 unit of the contract currency.

The sales report displays both the accrued points and the points withdrawn once the refund is made. The result is shown in the Total points accrued row. We use the following formula for our calculations:

Total points accrued = Points for discounts in the “Sold” section - Points for discounts in the “Returned by the customer” section.
