How to carry sports equipment and non-standard luggage

Sports equipment #

Usually by sports equipment is meant:

  • a set of snowboard or ski equipment;
  • a set of equipment for surfing, kitesurfing, wakeboarding, or windsurfing;
  • a bicycle;
  • golf equipment;
  • fishing equipment;
  • a hockey bag-trunk with equipment;
  • gymnastic hoops.

Some carriers do not charge for the transportation of sports equipment in winter or summer. It is always better to check information about the rules in advance on the airline’s website. It is also necessary to warn the airline that you plan to take sports equipment with you.

If during the flight you are going to hold your child in your arms, the cradle is placed on the luggage rack.

A baby in a stroller can be taken to the airplane ramp, where the stroller will be picked up by airline employees. The folding stroller can be taken into the cabin instead of being checked as luggage.
