How to protect your account from hacking #

Check the website addresses #

Always check if the website address you are on is the same as the official Ozon address: https://www.ozon.ru.

If the Ozon page seems suspicious to you, do not enter your personal data on it. Close the page if a message appears in the browser about visiting a suspicious site.

Install an antivirus #

Make sure there are no viruses on your device. With the help of viruses hackers can steal your files, lock your computer, and get passwords for the websites where you are registered.

Free programs Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool or Dr.Web CureIt! can help you to check your computer and remove viruses quickly. You need to download them again before checking. To permanently protect your computer, you need to install an antivirus.

Enable mobile data authorization #

A password can be hacked or cracked, an access code can be stolen, but your biometric data can’t be faked. Beside, this method is faster, you don’t have to wait for the code in the SMS, the login is done in a second.

How to use an Ozon Invest personal account safely #

  • Do not tell anyone the passwords to log in to your personal account–not even your family and Ozon employees.
  • Use only the official Ozon Invest website. Save it in your browser bookmarks.
  • Make sure that the address bar starts with the prefix “https://”. This means that a secure connection has been established.

How to use your mobile device safely #

  • Set a strong password on your phone.
  • If you have lost your phone, contact the Ozon Invest and ask to temporarily block your personal account. Next, contact your mobile provider to have your SIM card blocked.
  • If you have changed your mobile phone number, disable notifications in your personal account. If the SIM card stops working, call your service provider to find out the reason. You may be attacked by frauds.
  • Do not connect notifications to other people’s phones, even if you are asked to do so by people who introduced themselves as Ozon employees.
