Customers can use hashtags the same way as in social media. When they click on hashtags on PDPs or enter them in the search bar, we show a selection of products with the same hashtag from all sellers. Customers can filter these products by category.
Hashtags:
- help promote products: you can create your own selections or join trends;
- affect product ranking in search results: it’s easier for customers to find your product;
- are familiar and convenient to customers who use social media;
- may expand your audience, increase PDP views and product purchase probability;
- increase product content rating by making PDPs more attractive to customers;
You can copy information from the Keywords field and paste to the Hashtags field when editing PDPs.
Hashtag requirements #
You can add up to 30 hashtags for one product.
Hashtags:
- start with
#; - contain only letters, numbers, and underscores;
- contain up to 30 characters;
- don’t contain product characteristics that are already on the PDP, such as brand or type;
- are separated by space.
How customers use hashtags #
Hashtags help customers find products by keywords.
Hashtag is displayed in the PDP, in the Description section.
When a customer clicks on hashtag, a list of products with same hashtag appears.
