Don’t tell anyone your passwords, PIN, CVV codes, and text message codes, even to employees of a trusted organization.
Don’t follow suspicious links. Scammers can send you a link to a fake website and steal usernames and passwords from your accounts or your bank card details.
Use only official Ozon apps from the app stores.
Account protection #
Check website addresses #
Check the address of the site you are on. It should match the official Ozon address: https://www.ozon.com.
If the Ozon page seems suspicious to you, don’t enter your personal data on it. Close the page if your browser shows a suspicious website warning.

Install an antivirus program #
Make sure there are no viruses on your device. They can help hackers steal your files, lock your computer, and get passwords for websites you are signed up to.
You can use free programs Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool or Dr.Web CureIt! to check your computer and remove viruses quickly.
Enable authorization by mobile data #
Hackers can steal your data, but they can’t fake biometrics. Besides, this signup method works faster: you don’t have to wait for the code in the text message.

Lock your phone screen #
Don’t leave your phone unattended and always lock it. Set a password or biometric lock. PIN or pattern are less reliable options.
Search for information about the encryption methods of your device and select the appropriate option. This may help to keep your data safe even if you lose your device.
Set the PIN on the SIM card, as most of your accounts are linked to your phone number. If someone gets access to your phone, they can insert your SIM to another device, even if your phone is locked or encrypted.
Be cautious when installing apps, even from official stores. Check what permissions an app requires during installation and deny suspicious ones, such as access to text messages.
Other recommendations:
- If you’ve lost your phone, contact our support team and ask to temporarily block your personal account. Then contact your mobile operator to block your SIM card.
- If you’ve changed your mobile phone number, turn off notifications in your personal account. If the SIM card stops working, call your mobile operator to find out the reason. It might be a sign of fraudsters targeting you.
- Don’t enable notifications on other people’s phones, even if asked by individuals claiming to be Ozon employees.
Limit the use of public networks #
We don’t recommend using public Wi-Fi networks to log in to your account or make purchases because of data leakage risks. Network and its encryption could be set up by a hacker.
Update the software #
Don’t ignore update notifications. Always use the latest versions of apps, as updates often come with new protection settings.
Making sure that other people don’t receive your order #
The code for picking up your orders is stored in your online account, which only you can access.
To prevent fraudsters from receiving your orders, don’t share the code for picking up your orders with anyone but pick-up point employees.
